My Journey
I didn’t begin my career in the insurance industry.
I began on the sales floor in clothing retail, at Express, Bebe, and at Nordstrom; learning how to listen to ask questions, how to provide world-class service, and how to respect every customer who walked through the door. I learned that success wasn’t always about numbers on a leaderboard, it was about the quality of care, attention to details , and how to retain clients through high-quality service to keep them coming back for more.
When the Affordable Care Act (ACA) reshaped healthcare, I saw an opportunity to do more for people. I got licensed on my own and entered a new world within two weeks. And like anyone starting fresh, I began at the ground level, selling ACA, Short-Term Medical, Hospital Indemnity, and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Plans. Learning the rules. Learning the systems. Learning, above all, that people needed someone they could trust.
In time, I found my calling with Medicare beneficiaries and later serving Medicare Insurance agents. And step by step, I worked my way up. From being a Sales Agent to Compliance Specialist. From Trainer to Director of Training. From working in Agent Onboarding and Engagement to leading entire Sales Team as a Senior Sales Director.
At every stage, I carried the same lessons I learned on the sales floor: attention to detail matters, quality matters, integrity matters, and helping people matters. And after more than a decade of building, teaching, and leading, I knew it was time to bring that experience together. To create something of my own.
That’s why I founded Insurance Training HQ, because agents deserve training that empowers them, agencies deserve systems that scale, and clients deserve professionals who are not only knowledgeable, but confident, compliant, and committed to excellence.
